SEATTLE -- Buying a home in the Seattle area over the last several years has been a tough environment for buyers as prices keep skyrocketing, but new indications suggest the tide is turning.
Though sellers still generally have the upper hand, the market is shifting in favor of buyers, especially along the West Coast where home prices are reaching levels of eroding affordability, according to research by Trulia.
"The years-long trend of declining days on market has come to a stop, price cuts are increasingly common, and homes are more likely than in prior years to sell below their original list price," Trulia researchers wrote.
